Assessment

Speech pathology assessments are an essential part of the therapy process. At CommuniKids, we offer a range of assessment options, ranging from informal, play-based assessments to standardised assessments. Your speech pathologist will select an assessment based on your child's needs, age and developmental level. Assessments are offered for a range of areas, including:

·      Articulation and speech sounds;

·      Receptive language;

·      Expressive language;

·      Social communication;

·      Literacy; and

·      Language Development Centre applications.

We believe that it's essential to understand your child's story to help determine their strengths and challenges, as well as to work with families to determine goals for speech therapy. Going forward, these goals will be used to guide a personalised and comprehensive therapy plan to support your child's speech and language development.
